New name: Mýrdalssandur ehf. is now EP Power Minerals Iceland ehf.

The renaming makes our company’s affiliation with the strong EP Power Minerals group visible.

EP Power Minerals founded Mýrdalssandur ehf. in 2020 to better manage its groundbreaking development project for natural pozzolans. The material sourced at Hjörleifshöfði has almost identical technical properties to hard coal fly ash – and it is supposed to make a significant contribution to decarbonizing the cement industry.

The renaming makes our company’s affiliation with the strong EP Power Minerals group visible. Moreover, the country reference clarifies our company’s local position in the brand universe of EP Power Minerals and ensures greater recognition internationally.

After the appointment of Ragnar Gudmundsson as Managing Director, the renaming is the second big step in the evolution of EP Power Minerals Iceland ehf.
